tea parties and frosty pathways and nostalgic moments

friday 02
a teeny right-now tea party with sprinkleton. i sat on my bedroom floor with my tea party dress up and set up. eating biscuits and drinking pink milk with tilly~rose and pig. and she sat there. all the way over there in america. with her cupcakes and tea. watching disney clips and nitter natter about peter pan's creator and his adventures. this sort of tea party was wonderful. i look forward to the next spontanious tea party. perhaps we should all arrange one to have together one day soon.
biscuits and shortbread and candy sticks and cranberry truffle cakes and peanuts and savoury shapes and pink milk with golden stars. tilly~rose treats and pig snuggles. sparkly butterflies and feathery faery masks.
sunday 04
snowy morning surprises on this day. such wonder my heart felt once i peered outside my mother's window. such amazement my eyes felt. they were staring at such a perfect shock that they did not mind that they got woken so very early. i ran upstairs and took pictures of the perfection that appeared before me. then the evening presented me with such sister fun and frolics.
friday 09
frosty early mornings make me feel young. like a morning of school. i like it. this frosty morning i did leave the cottage to go to school. a visit to old times. old teachers of such wonder. all sorts of memories came back as my friends and i sat in awe of the work that the older students were producing. i felt such nostalgia wash over my heart that i wished and wished to jump into a mirror of magic back in the times where i could be at school and paint and draw and paint and laugh and paint.
warm orange suns and cold frosty air in the afternoon feels lovely. feels so lovely with old friends and talking of times back when. and buzzing with yumminess of talk of our dinner we had prepared earlier to eat and drink grown-up wine with. and eat my homemade mousse for afters. i adore my triangle trio of perfection and wish forever to stay friends for always.
saturday 10
outings to the nearest towns to shop for gifts with our christmas money. this day was spent with samuel and father. father bought me music, css music. and a book, great expectations. and a pasty with peach and raspberry water. i bought gifts for a friend and a birthday card for my gramps and a brown paper book for some work i need to get on with this week. we had vanilla and mint milk and father a black coffee. i had a lovely time.

the evening created more perfection for myself and pig as we went to my best friend's for chinese and films and sleep over. she said i have my own room now and i always sleep so perfectly there.
we exchanged our late christmas gifts and we smiled and we giggled and we loved eachother's gifts.
i bought her a love-moomin mug for her coffee, which she adored adored and some pretty gypsy rose panties and a wonderfully vintage looking necklace for her beautifulness.
she gave to me a beautiful copy of pride and prejudice with the most beautiful beautiful cover. and a teeny book with happy writings and drawings and sweet things. and she too bought me sweet and cute panties which say sugar plum, which is what i love! i am her sugar plum fairy. today i am finally remembering to do the 'four' tag... the rules are :
*go to the 4th folder in your computer where you store your pictures.
*pick the 4th picture in that folder.
*explain the picture.
this photograph was taken last year at the uni flat. it was our friend's birthday in the summer holidays, so as we missed it we thought we would arrange a surprise birthday party and we invited all of her friends and we had cake and pink sparkles and toffee apples and sweets. she was a little embarrassed i think. but it was her face. it was so cute when she walked through the door.
*
it seems like everyone has done this tag now, i am so very awfully sorry that i have stalled it so much.
*
i also got a couple of beautiful awards while i've been away playing with the pixies in the woods.
an amazing two awards from the ever so beautiful erin meagan whom has the most beautiful name in this world. honestly.

and the wonderful and one of my all time favourites, jess gave me the 'honest scrap award'. which includes ten honest truths about myself.

*i check all my friend's spellings when they write pieces for uni. they probably get annoyed with that, but i have always done it.
*i always try to wave to mother out the window when she leaves for work or to the shops or so.
*i completely do not want to go back to uni next week. i wish and wish to stay here and read and write and smile.
*i do not like mess or unwashed dishes. but i do not like cleaning those unwashed dishes all the time, as most of it is not mine.
*i crazily do not like crumbs, other peoples crumbs. they make me cringe all over.
*i like odd numbers.
*i sometimes wish to go back and enjoy those family moments we shared, as i miss them thoroughly now.
*i like journeys. i like long plane journeys and quiet train journeys and looking-out-the-window-bus journeys.
*i like to watch people. their personalities and their gestures. i like to think about what they do. what they like. who they love. and make it all up as if they were a character out of a storybook.
*i am secretly scared of brenda. i think my thoughts have made myself believe she may actually be a witch.

  2. oh your time was so wonderful. Your blog is so wonderful. =)
I wonder what it would be like to have pink milk with golden stars?

    I guess I am a bit lucky. I get two look-out-the-window-on-the-bus journeys a day 5 times a week. ((School))
I love school, I feel so happy there. Surrounded by friends, almost family.

  3. I've probably said this a zillion-billion times,
but... I love everything you do or say, you are such a magically beautiful girl! (and Tilly-Rose too, make sure to let her know that I think she's the most darling little thing!)

  4. Oh, I am so glad you seemed to have such a wonderful time!
    So many great memories!
I know what you mean when you say that sometimes you wished you could stay where you are and read and write and create and laugh, instead of going back to uni and work work work. I am sure you will be fine though. You'll find magic :)

And what a wonderful tea party! I had a small one yesterday too. Me and my roommate were sitting on the floor with our cups of tea looking at videos of our childhood cartoons while Penelope was running and hopping around us. it was so much fun! Until Penelope decided she wanted tea as well and put her legs on my cup and spilled the tea all over the floor and all over my Winnie-the-Pooh book! It didn't seem to bother her though, she just sat in the tea puddle and drink it all up. Silly bunny!
    She says hi to Tilly~rose!

    Have a nice day dear!

Speaking of, I may get to buy a little hamster friend this summer! Isn't that just exciting?! I cannot wait. If I get to, her name will be Parapluie, which is umbrella in francais... I don't know why, but I adore that for a name...
Have you gotten my little package, or are you not back yet? I hope you get it soooon. Maybe your friends can send it to you...

  15. Yay, Lottie welcome back! I have been waiting for a long long time for your new post! I love the picture you took early in the morning. I wished I was there and enjoyed the scene. Ou yea,I just started my college life. It is a hard start for a freshman like me. ^^

I miss my school too..my old friends and teachers. That is the time that we can't rewind back. *sob* Such a good old time.

  17. oh my lottie lottie, lovely lottie!!!! you have made me smile and giggle so very much. such wonders awaited me this morning. not only this beautiful new blog post but a wonderful whisper mail, too!!! i cannot tell you how excited i was to read it!!!! however i wont whisper mail back just yet, as i do not have enough time to do it very carefully and make it just right :)

the pictures from your tea party are beautiful!!! you look so cute and shy, like a teeny little, pretty angl, witha butterfly in your hair!!! how i wish for one also. and pig and tilly~rose... so adorable, they always make me smile. always always!!!!!

and lottie, the snow!!! we got ome also. just a light dusting. me and mother went for a walk all wrapped up. and then it snowed again as i was leaving home... so i missed most of it. but the frost on the jurney was themost beautifu i ave ever seen!!! i wished to get better pictures, but the car was going far too fast down the motorway, so it was very blurry.

and the pride and predjudice book!!! it is indeed beautiful. it is one of my favourite books, but the cover of mine is not anywhere near as wonderful as yours.

i am so happy to read about your home adventures. you are making me so much more cheery, wiping my tears away. even though i have left home, i feel as though i am enjoying your time at home with you. if that makes sense!!!

oh my moon best friend you have made my day very special :)

frosty mornings, rosy cheeks, snuggley mittens, stars in pink milk, teeny tilly~rose sized snuggles, curly and pig adventures, and starry starry hugs and wishes to you, my little lottie angel, my moon best friend

  22. your tea party invitation is darling! i would love to recieve such a charming invite <3

tilly is as cute as ever and so is the butterfly pinned in your hair.

isn't snow beautiful and soft looking? it's so pretty, but i don't like having to walk in storms to get anywhere since i haven't a car in uni. sigh.

that pride and prejudice volume is so fancy! i absolutely love that book.

*i like to watch people. their personalities and their gestures. i like to think about what they do. what they like. who they love. and make it all up as if they were a character out of a storybook.

i do the same thing! and sometimes write tiny stories about them. it is a fun way to pass time in waiting rooms or airports.

    stay sweet and love always

I'm so glad you don't try to be to serious, but rather write prettily about lovely things. I too am a people watcher, and love to think about what their lives are possibly like. I guess its because I have such an overactive imagination!

  32. I love the butterfly in your hair! I just did a photo shoot and the model had one like it in her hair. New York looks like this now, too. With the snow. It's so cold cold cold. And pride and prejudice is ultimately primo top five favorite of all books.

hope you have been well my dear!

  34. sweet lottie, this is the most beautiful post ever. i had to save it until i could read it slowly and look at your pictures and enjoy every part. you are just the sweetest sweetest girl, i don't know what to say when i read what you write. you make me want to giggle and smile but i still feel a little sad too, like life is too good and hard to explain. and i too love long trips, all kinds, even sometimes, i like riding and staring out the window better than arriving and doing. you're my muse, beautiful girl.
