Laura Ashley A/W 2012 press event PART II

springtime yellow florals and blue gingham. what more would you wish for in your kitchen?! oh, some freshly baked bread and the kettle whistling away.
plum purples and biscuit beige with dark woods. imagine all this with an open fire and a hot mug of cocoa, wrapped under a chunky knit blanket. the perfect winter.
i went home after the Laura Ashley event and cooed away about my dreams and wants with the prince. 'we need our own house' 'we need a garden' 'we need some Laura Ashley A/W12 in our lives'. the duck egg blue made this happen. in the kitchen, in the bedroom, in the lounge... i do not mind. but i know we need some of this somewhere! mixed with a cream or an oatmeal. yes please. and now.
oh! the christmas corner! you all know how much of a christmas faery i am! i was secretly wishing the beautiful ladies would have their conversation somewhere else whilst i loved and lusted over LA's beautiful christmas ware. ugh. the gingerbread candles, the glittered baubles, the wooden nativity scene! sighhh*
the beautiful girls over at The Vintage Patisserie were dotted around the event offering lots of delightful teas in pretty vintage teacups and saucers. they also made some stunning cupcakes which i wanted to just sneakily place into my goodie bag.
i had such a lovely day. i just have so much on my wishlist now that it hurts thinking of it! i just would so like a house of my own to renovate and paint and decorate and love. i dislike this renting without access to a garden. though my house is beautiful--it isn't mine, and i just can't love it.

  1. oh i love all of this! i wish i could own each room and item! it will be so fun when you are able to decorate your whole house just how you like it :) i'm excited for you! xo

  2. I love that planter box :)
I can't wait to have my own house. It sucks even more living with my dad with his very strict rules on what I can and can't do!

  3. I know how you feel lovely. My achilles heel is Country Living magazine at the moment. I'm lusting after huge living rooms and wing back arm chairs.
We live in a rented property too, and although it's perfectly lovely, I long for a proper garden, not a long skinny patio strewn with the remnants of previous tenants. :(
We can but dream, my love. In the mean time, start a scrap book of 'House Dreams'. That always helps.
Glad you had such a lovely day though. Those cupcakes look scrumptious. I would probably try pinching one or two too.
