Barcelona part ii

nearly every day Alix and i were in Barcelona, we visited the lovely market that was hidden down one of the back streets. this market had plenty of fruits and meats and fish and these amazing fruit juices. you could so have easily tried one of everything. though the lack of toilets and the constant need of a wee would be a slight problem. pretty though, just looking at them.
even though you could easily be the healthiest of people out there, what with all that beautiful fruit and all the walking (my calves now have muscles!), you could balance it out just nicely with some AMAZING floral shaped ice-creams! pick the size of your cone, decide how many flavours to have, choose the flavours you wish to eat... and hello delightful treat.
whilst walking off all the delights we consumed, we explored and found some beautiful buildings- which in Barcelona is basically every other building. the architecture out there is just stunning! from the pretty patterns imprinted in each tile down every street, the dainty iron work in the lanterns, to the creative and wonderfully structured buildings themselves. i really wish there more places like this.
we visited a lovely place out therePark G├╝ell. this beautiful park was designed by the amazing architect Gaudi. his buildings had the most unusual style and the outside walls were lined with the prettiest of mosaics. his work can be found throughout the whole of the city. it is just delightful!
ohh, i miss the prettiness of this lovely lovely place!
i shall finish this post with the remains of a lovely red velvet, raspberry and white chocolate birthday cupcake. and an amazing last supper of hamburger with blue cheese and a cup of fries. not forgetting a sip or two of cocktails.

  1. I'm yet to see any of Gaudi's work up close - must be such an experience to see his buildings in real life! :-)

  12. Hi lovely!

Love the colourful pics of the fruit juice... the Boqueria is one of my fave markets and right next to my house... the fish bit is the BEST... I like to go on Fridays and take pictures because that's when they have the most fish
