It is nearly my birthday, on the 14th April to be exact, and everyone is asking me THAT question.
WHAT DO YOU WANT FOR YOUR BIRTHDAY?
The more the years go on, the more I have no idea. I never seem to have enough pennies to buy myself something, yet always see things. When it comes down to trying to remember what that thing I so desperately needed was, I never seem to recollect. So it took me a while to compile this little list of extravagant and somewhat ridiculous ideas. Some of which I really do not need for my birthday and probably can afford myself, I just really do not know what to ask for.
To be honest, I would be completely fine with a bunch of tulips, a bag of white mice (or a box of Macarons) and a pile of stationery.

I didn't know Cath Kidson did high tops. Now I want those on my feet...pronto!
ReplyDeleteNeither did I until I went and had a tiny browse over on their website!

Me too! Sadly it's an Oliver Jeffers illustration, so even if it WAS for sale it would be a billion dollars... Probably.
DeleteMacarons and stationery, best gifts ever. And flowers of course!

This birthday coming I think I'll ask family for pennies toward a new Macbook as mine is hanging on by a thread after 7 years loyal service!! Though usually I am just the same way - I struggle to 'want' something enough to request it for my birthday when someone asks. I tend to be very happy with whatever I get, be it a card and a text or something more flashy - I always just feel very touched when people make an effort on my birthday. Maybe we're too easily pleased!!

That sounds like a perfect idea.
DeleteYou cannot be without a computer!!!
I am the same. I love the pretty cards, and the sweet little things. I am trying to persuade my friend to make me something as she is so talented, but she just refuses and says it isn't enough!
I think we are easily pleased, but it's nice!
