Thursday

today and before

If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter you will know that I have not been too well lately. I have had a headache for eleven days now. After being sick with it, on Monday my sister dragged me to the hospital and I was told that I was suffering from a Migraine. Who would have known it could last this long! Anyway, I am feeling a little better and the pills the Doctor gave me are making me so sleepy.
So when Nicola asked me last night if I wanted to hang out today, I jumped at the chance. Some fresh air and some fun... just what I need.
After a quick catch up with Nicola this morning, she handed me these kitty stickers. Instant cheer. How cute?! We decided to head into town to have a little look around the junk shops for her little project. With the pills and the fresh air I was feeling rather sleepy, so we headed for a sit down and a banana shake.
Whilst we were in town I picked up my beautiful new glasses. Finally, I will be able to get away with using the computer without major strain on my sore eyes/head. I love them loads and hope it helps rid of my pains.
Whilst Nicola was hunting for special papers and old children's nursery rhymes, I found some treasures. This pretty teacup caught my eye and for 95p I could not put it down. I love the floral pattern on the inside. I also picked up some used stamps... I have no idea why, but I seem to have grown a little addiction to these things. I also bought a couple of these teeny knitted pompom hats for 25p each. Though pretty pointless for me, very adorable... and for charity. I imagined a frail little old lady knitting hundreds of these- it made it all the more worthwhile purchase.
I have a couple of busy days ahead, hosting a kitchen wares party, visiting my Papa and getting the house back to its normal state. I am going to have to schedule a few naps to get me through. Goodnight little ones, have a wonderful weekend. Lets hope the sunshine visits.

  1. urgh migraines are awful! hope you're feeling better soon.

I've made some of those hats before. I put them on wine bottles when I give them away as gifts. Although they make my wine rack pretty too.

  5. Migraines are horrendous. I used to suffer with them on a monthly basis when I was younger but I am lucky in that I get them once in a blue moon these days, but it is an unforgettable type of pain so I really hope the tablets kick it into touch. Love the top photo, it looks so cosy and I wouldn't want to get out of such a cosy looking bed migraine or not! Glad you had a lovely day with Nicola :)

  6. oh sweety, migraines are such a dreadful thing :( I always get them when I eat to many sweets and fastfood (which makes it even more dreadful). But I'm glad you feel better now :) better sleepy than headachy. I hope the mean migraine will leave you alone now and you feel a lot better and enjoy your wonderful treasures :)
