Afternoon Tea with Twinings

Afternoon Tea to me is a couple of scones with lashings of clotted cream and homemade jam, a selection of cakes, finger sandwiches, macarons and a big pot of strong breakfast tea.
Trying to organise a little 'homemade' afternoon tea date with the prince is pretty hard. After working a long ten hour shift at work the last thing I am wanting is my picture taken. So finally last Wednesday we got some time together after Sebastian finished work, to just sit down on the floor in the lounge. Ok so it was more like afternoon-pretty much-evening tea but we made it work.
Sebastian and I both enjoyed a cup or two of Twinings Everyday Tea as it goes perfectly with a scone. We sipped and nibbled and it was just delightful. Lately I have been sipping more and more of Twinings Everyday Tea as it is so yummy and strong and the colouring is just perfect! Honestly. I am a 'Builders Tea' kind of girl, I like it a dark orangey hue.
Have a little read here of Creating the perfect Afternoon Tea with Twinings.
I am actually quite grateful we got to do this. It is rare that Sebastian and I just sit and chat and drink tea. It was really nice. We even got a few silly photos out of it. But they are for our frames on the wall and maybe a little post in the future-- maybe?! A 'how not to review tea' post?!! I will have to think long and hard about that one... my goofy faces on the blog may resort me losing a few of my lovely readers. *wink.
What would your perfect Afternoon Tea be like? What would you have to nibble on? Tell me all, I would love to know! Maybe one afternoon we could chat over a cup or two.
Lots of love, Tea and cherry bakewells.
