Recently Pinned: Shall I? Shan't I?

So... for a while now I have really wanted to get my nose pierced. I would quite like a teeny stud or a very little nose ring. I will most likely keep the teeny stud in for most of the time as I work four 10 hour shifts a week. The thing is... other than both mother and papa disapproving (I know I know, I'm 26 and live as a grown up but still I care about that sort of thing!), I don't want work to tell me to take it out. I have read the uniform policy and it does say 'if you have to wear, then keep discreet'. I wonder if the very first stud they put in is quite small?
What do you beautiful people think? Shall I? Shan't I? Help!

  1. I think you should! As in all the above pictures, it can look really lovely, especially if it's a small stud or hoop! Plus, if you get fed up of it you can always take it out! xxx

  2. My sister recently got her nose pierced. She said it hurt less than a tummy piercing, but was still pretty bad!
The first stud they give you is really small; so small in fact that hers and three of her friend's studs fell out. She had to get it re-pierced with a larger metal ball instead of a diamante one.
Still, it does look really lovely - she thinks it's worth it!
    Good luck!

  3. I think some people really suit them, and as long as it can be discreet while you're at work, I don't see why they'd tell you to take it out? I'd care about my parents' opinions too, don't worry! xx

  4. When I got my nose pierced, my first stud was really small. It didn't really hurt for me, however that may be different for you, it depends on how well you can cope with pain! It feels like a sharp pinch, and because it is so close to your eyes, it does make your eyes water a little bit. I've also seen online where you can get clear nose studs, so it doesn't look like you have one in at all! xx

  5. I'm not much of a piercings person but some people do really look nice with them.

  6. It caaan look really lovely when they're delicate and small and I'm sure it would on you but I'm not a huge fan myself... Saying that though, I don't even have my ears pierced haha. I'm sure whatever you decide will look lovelyxx

  7. I've totally wanted to do this too! Unfortunately the whole parent thing is one of the things that stop me too- (also another teeny which I will share with you soon!)

Why not buy a fake one to try it out and see how you feel? :)

  8. I went back and forward for ages and eventually just decided to take the plunge and do it! I've been really happy with it, it hardly hurt at all and I've had no problems since and only nice comments - my parents were a bit surprised I think but recognised that it was my decision! Plus, it's not like a tattoo, you can always take it out if you don't like it!

  9. I had mine done years ago and I've got to say i took it out because i thought it looked tacky on me, but in these photo's it looks quite nice and ultimately it's up to you, I have piercing's a lot of other people disapprove off. You can choose if they put a small stud in the first time (i would recommend doing this to start with so you can get a feel for it and it will be okay for work)
If you don't like it you can always take it out, you can't even see where mine was. xx

  10. I love these photos... I've had mine done three different times over the years. It is fairly cheap so I would say just go for it, try it for a few months/ a year and then take it out if you get bored/ work are funny about it. This is why piercings are a lot better than tattoos, you can take them out and there is basically nothing there to give away that it was ever there! The little rings look adorable!

  11. You should definitely get it done if you want to. I think they look cute. If you don't like it you can always take it out but I think you'd suit it.

  12. Miss Wall, stop being a fudging wuss! You need to stop thinking & start doing! Go get it done & I shall work on getting my septum pierced again too...By an Italian that speaks English preferably! If work kick up a stink, or you don't like it, just whip it out & it'll heal up. At least then you will be satisfied with knowing either way! xxx

  13. I love these photos! I've wanted to get mine done since I was a teenager, but a combination of having a massive nose and my parents saying no always stopped me. I say go for it!

  14. I really desperately want to get mine done but my boyfriend is completely dead set against it, and not in a jokey way, in quite a serious way. I think he wouldn't mind it as much as he thinks, but he doesn't like them full stop. I think it would be lovely on you though, and its a nice little change that isn't too much hassle.

  15. Go for it! I finally worked up the courage a few months ago, and although my parents weren't too keen when I told them, they understood that it was my decision and really liked it when I showed them!
My first stud was small, although be careful about taking it out before it's fully healed. I got a bit impatient to put a ring in, and even now it still gets a bit sore! I absolutely love it though.
