I'll Take You To The Candle Shop

For a while now, I have started lighting a candle or two whilst Sebastian and I sit down to eat dinner, or watch a film. Sometimes I even light a candle when I am sitting here in my wee craft room. It makes me happy. Especially when it's a delightful Lavender or floral scent.
I was very lucky to receive a big box of scented candles recently from ScentedCandleShop.com. Very lucky indeed. Inside the box was a mixture of beautiful aromas whirling into one big delight.
My favourite was the St Eval Rose Garden. Wow, is all I could say when I laid my blue eyes on this. The beautiful rose printed garden pot and smooth wax teamed with such a soft scent of a wonderful English Rose Garden makes a lovely gift, to mother or to oneself!
Well everyone knows by now that I have a soft spot for a floral taste or scent anything... especially Lavender! This St Eval Victorian Lavender pot is one perfect candle. Not only is it in a small rustic terracotta plant pot, but the lovely herbal lavender scent is so soft and calming. It is perfect. Now, the Yankee Candle French Lavender votive is very different. It has a strong soothing lavender aroma which would be perfect for accompanying a relaxing bubble bath before bed. I love the deep purple colouring too.
My second favourite from this delightful scented collection is the Yankee Candle Pink Lady Slipper housewarmer jar. One, it's in a jar. Two, it's pale pink. Three, well it smells so good!! The beautiful scent reminds me of rose Turkish Delight... which by the way, along with Parma Violets and rose creams, is my absolute favourite sweet thing! The smell is so pretty, you need to go buy yourself one just so you can agree with me! The Yankee Candle Camomile Tea votive has a subtle tea smell mixed with a citrus zing. Yet it is not overpowering and it goes perfectly with a lavender infused bath.
I have now turned into a scented candle addict. Luckily for me Sebastian is enjoying this!
It's strange how I used to only have unscented candles because scented ones used to give me a headache... either the prettiness of all these are outweighing the headaches or I am free from all pain!
What are your favourite scented candles?

  4. I have the biggest soft spot for candles. I light them every time I take a bath and if I ever feel like I can't access my creativity all I have to do is light a candle and let the words flow! That rose garden candle is so lovely. I'd love all of these!

We use a candle warmer in my apartment and rotate which candle goes on it with the season.

  10. I've just recently started loving candles myself. My dad has always hated scented things like incense (I do too, actually, they are so suffocating) so we never much went in for scented candles. However I purchased a Glasshouse Fragrances candle (sea mist!) and the smell is so deep and fresh, yet so subtle at the same time. It's amazing, I adore it. They're a bit on the pricey side but I'm dying to get their limited edition Christmas candles!

  11. We love scented candles at camp Pet Lamb. We tend to lean more towards the sweeter, foodie scents though. Got a salted caramel winging its way to me as we speak. :)

    Lovely images.
