Recently Pinned: Wedding Edition

(Taken from Pinterest, here)

I have been a little quiet lately due to lots of things going on this end. So many sad and happy things. But today I am going to share with you something very very happy indeed.
Remember when I got engaged nearly two years ago?! (If not you can read it here). We got close to booking a ridiculously expensive but amazingly perfect venue last October, but Sebastian unfortunately lost his job (but sooner than he could dish out his cvs he got another, better job. Phew!). So we stopped saving and planning, but I still Pinned... obviously!
Until last month, I found out about a (reasonably priced) dreamy family-run venue about 40 minutes away from my house. It ticked all the boxes; Barn, outside wedding gazebo, a pretty lake, a meadow, lots of pretty flowers, horses and a cat called Bambi. It also gives us the option of a 'Blank Canvas' package so we are not tied down with corkage and caterers that they have contracts with. We have free-range. It really is perfect.
So we have pencilled ourselves in and are waiting for forms so we can put some pennies down and I will most definitely be sharing more with you.... If you'd like ofcourse?!

I shall leave you with my recent pins and snippets of some of the things we would like for our dream day. Including cocktails in jars, vintage fabric bunting, waterlily tealights, half a dozen bridesmaids with flowers in their hair, a posh picnic and a lemonade stand. Just to name a few!

Lots of Love and cups of Tea on this chilly, rainy but happy day.

  3. Eeeek! So excited that you found a new place, with ZERO things to tie you down. The problem I hear is always the caterers! Like come on, what if you want traditional food from your culture? You know what I mean?
