It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

Thirty Eight days until Christmas and what better way to get yourself into the festive season than going into town to the grand switch on. So I collected a few of my favourites and on we went to spread Christmas cheer.
The streets were lined with stalls of delightful food and pretty gifts. Burritos, Japanese chicken and noodles, crepes, waffles, homemade macarons and jellied sweets and even knitted finger puppets! It was so nice to see my town making a wee effort for a change.
We nibbled at some Japanese food, burritos and crepes between us, and had a giggle over the knitted finger puppets trying to guess what each one was. Jessica and I purchased a macaron, or two, and we all went on our merry way to view the Christmas lights being switched on.
After dancing and singing along to Mariah Carey we went for a Costa (my second one this week! Oops). I had a yummy Honeycomb hot chocolate and the lovely barista sprinkled it with teeny golden stars. Love.
I think I may be cheating on Starbucks! Costa is totally winning me over this year. Their cups are cute and the different options all sound delightful. And ofcourse they sprinkle my drinks with golden stars!
Once we sipped our drinks, we visited the Emporia which is filled with cute craft stalls. Samuel and Sebastian snacked on roasted chestnuts whilst Jessica and I pointed and awed at all the pretty things.
We spoke Mary Poppins, pretty teacups, Christmas day plans, cinema dates. Our sleepy eyes and full tummies were telling us that pyjamas were calling us. Samuel and Jessica hopped on the bus home.
It was such a lovely afternoon, and so nice to see the town making an effort with stalls and crafts. I am even more excited. (If that was possible)! My next festive event is at the end of the month when I visit Bath Christmas market with lovely miss Jenny. I cannot wait.
