Oh Christmas Tree

So Christmas is my most favourite time of year. So the eve of the big day, I rushed home from work and packed the last gifts into huge shopping bags and eagerly awaited my Papa's arrival to 'Drive us home for Christmas'!
Christmas this year was just perfect. It was relaxing and filled with such delightful foods. We ended up with our dinner quite late in the day as we forgot to put the Turkey in due to all the gift unwrapping... there was alot!!!
As soon as the morning begun, my little brother tip-toed into mine and Sebastian's room (at Papa's) and we all opened our little stockings. Excitable faces and pretty wrapped parcels were unwrapped with surprise.
Papa and L's 9ft tree was surrounded by beautiful gifts wrapped with pretty paper and twine and thoughtfully written tags. My little brother, Sebastian and I could not wait to carefully unwrap every single one that had our name printed on.
My red sparkly nails got a hold of some amazing gifts. I am a very lucky lady. My family treated me so well and my darling Sebastian thought so hard and perfectly to make sure I got things I had asked/wished for. He spoilt me so.
Christmas day/Boxing Day/and the day after was filled with so much food, films, chocolates, paper crowns and board games. We laughed lots and sung along to Christmassy songs (or at least I did!), we ate too much, we drank too much, we nibbled on naughty foods way too much, we walked, we played, we had a lot of fun.
I wish to be back at Papa's farmhouse where everything was perfect and relaxed and peaceful. I miss it so.
I have a bad case of the Post-Christmas-Blues. I have been so excited, for so long and been on a major high. Now it's all over I have hit the ground hard. I feel that heart sinking feeling.. when you've just arrived home from the best holiday of your life and home is the last place you want to be. Normality! and it quite frankly sucks!

I am now going to bathe myself in my new smells and flick through some of my new books, whilst eating chocolate. coins.
Anyone else have this feeling? Did everyone have a wonderful Christmas? I hope you filled your tummies with yummies and hearts with love.

    1. Thank you! I made it many moons ago.
The dressing gown actually has a Hare print on it, but a giraffe one would be so cute! You must search for some fabric and making!
