Long, blustery Winter days can be quite gloomy. Unless you are tucked up indoors all cosy and free from the torrential downpour and whirlwinds. There is nothing better than watching the rain drops slide down your window pane and being snuggled under a cosy blanket or your winter duvet.
Sundays for me are purely for comfort- It's not called 'the day of rest for nothing'! I like to have a shower early, after a breakfast of pain au chocolat or eggs with a mug of tea and get into a freshly washed pair of pyjamas. I then like to spend my day snuggled up under the blanket downstairs with my laptop and catching up on blogs, flicking through wedding magazines, Frankie or The Simple Things or just watching films with Sebastian. Cup of tea in hand ofcourse.
winter Sunday wardrobe consists of bed shirts, leggings and knitted slipper socks.
This Joules bed shirt is my new favourite. Not only is it really comfy and soft, it has such a beautiful illustrated bird print. The cream shirt with teal illustration make it fun but pretty. Teamed with Sebastian's (I stole them from him!) Tartan longjohns and my cream knitted slipper socks gifted to me for Christmas, it is THE perfect cosy outfit.
This Joules Hepworth Nightshirt was kindly sent to me from Surfdome which have SUCH a variety of clothing. For more beautiful Joules products visit here.
I love the little details that Joules include on their products; the teeny pink stitched hare on the pocket, the velour-fabric strips, even the cockerel shaped cardboard tag. I love the illustration so much too; Pheasant, duck, wren, grouse and such are dotted around the shirt perfectly. It is made from 100% Cotton too which is why it is so soft and comfy and just feels like pure luxury against my freckled skin.
This English Rose mug by Sophie Allport is the most perfect cup for me. Mother bought this for me for Christmas and I feel it's THE most appropriate thing in the world. What a lovely ma'ma she is for selecting this gift especially. It has teeny painted roses on and just on the inside has a handwritten-style 'English Rose'. I adore it.The beautiful English Rose mug filled with twinings, my pretty Joules bedshirt, a warm cosy blanket and a pile of dvds/magazines is all I need to make my Sunday life complete.
