A week in collars

I have been a lucky lady and got me a promotion at work in which I started over three weeks ago. I am loving it loads and the fact I don't have to wear a horrific uniform anymore is even better.
I have been enjoying spending my 'leaving gift' voucher and birthday money on pretty blouses and faint polka dotted trousers.
I am definitely feeling more like me! Even if my hair is an uncontrollable mess these days. Still, I am enjoying the messy mop.
Ever since my birthday-hair dying-drama I have been trying to wash it every other day rather than every day. It has been really hard! I have been using dry shampoo but it's not working amazingly for me. Does anyone have any tips for me? I need your beauty help!
So at the weekend I went to see McBusted, and last week I saw a SUPER awesome band, yesterday Sebastian and I went for a pasty and a spot of shopping and I ended up spending a small fortune on beautiful fabrics so keep your eyes open for pretty things on my wee Etsy.
Wednesday I'm hopping on to the Hogwarts Express to visit Harry and his pals with my ma and my nephews. Quite a bit excited.
Ps. thank you for all your healthy salad tips/recipes. After snacking on pizza and peanut m&ms (and the rest!) I am finally determined to get healthy! Woo.
I hope you've all had a wonderful Bank Holiday weekend?!

  6. It makes such a difference not having to wear a uniform doesnt it? Im so glad i dont have to. I feel like what i wear is a way of expressing myself, and when i cant i feel sad! Hair-wise i cannot stress how much i can relate to your dilemma! My hair used to be in such terrible condition and i have always washed and dryed my hair each morning. I used to love the smell, you cant beat the feeling of freshly washed hair BUT for the last 18months or so i have persevered with dry shampoo and now i wash my hair twice a week. It makes SUCH a difference i promise you. My hair grows so so fast now and generally feels stronger. I am no longer losing bits down the plug hole when i wash it and i can even let it air dry and sleep on it and it looks ok. This was a revolution for me i honestly cant tell you how much.

Stick with it. Its never going to feel like it does when you wash your hair, but you can get some really pretty fragranced ones now. I love the Batiste Oriental printed one, really flowery and the smell lasts all day. I now actually prefer my hair on its second day after being washed. Plus the dry shampoo gives you that extra volume and messy texture i have rather grown to love. I cannot believe quite how much i have rambled on about dry shampoo…lol.

  8. That polka dot shirt is perfect! I was so excited when I left my uniform wearing job & could wear anything I wanted, though some mornings when I'm feeling really lazy I sort of wish I had one again...haha

Also, I'm not sure if I already said it but congratulations on your promotion!! :-)
