I am overwhelmed with happiness from all your lovely comments, both on the blog and on Instagram, about our very special news. Being pregnant and planning a wedding has been somewhat hard. Luckily I have this week off and I have finally felt so much better- I think it's safe to say that at 17 weeks, the sickness is behind me *fingers crossed it stays that way*.
It's five days until we get married!! How has it gone that quickly?! There is still a few things to arrange and buy- but these are the fun parts. These are the wedding jobs that I can sit and do whilst a lovely film is on in the background, Fortunately I convinced Mother to take this week off too- I could not have gone this far without her!
Today and Friday will most certainly be the busiest this week. Mother and I are off to Canterbury to buy the non-fresh food items for the wedding picnic, pick up a boot full of fruit trays for serving, glass jars for the Tea Station, bottles of fresh lemonade and wine for the tables, children's treats for their gift bags and ofcourse most importantly... the last dress fitting and (hopefully) pick up- I hope bump hasn't grown too much!
Friday is for dressing the venue with bunting and laying the tables ready for the 'Posh Picnic'. We also have our team ready for food making duty! It'll be a busy one but once 17:30 hits- the ladies are off duty for some mother, bridesmaid girly time at mine with food, nibbles and films before catching an early night for some much needed beauty sleep.
The inbetween days are for painting, stamping, organising, sleeping, pampering, a midwife appointment, cleaning, tidying and marmalade making.
We successfully managed to arrange our seating plan after some of the little named post-its lost it's stickiness. This has been one of the most complicated tasks yet. There are few guests I had to really think about their seating arrangement, I don't want anyone feeling uncomfortable and I also didn't want to sit guests in obvious places, ie friend table, sisters table etc. I liked the idea of placing guests with like-minded people. Anyway it has been finalised and we had to walk away from it before we changed our minds again!
I enjoyed a lovely weekend off from Wedding jobs with Alix- talking creative projects, exciting futures, sitting in the sunshine at an outdoor music event, eating bad food and watching girly films. It was so perfect. I also caught up on some much needed sleep and I am now ready and prepped for a very productive week ahead! You may not hear from me again as Miss Charlotte Heather Wall so I have thought ahead a little and have some lovely guest posts lined up for you from some of my favourite bloggers and their special days. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have and I shall fill you in and spam you with some lovely wedding posts in the next few weeks.
Lots of love MISS Charlotte.
