Autumnal Amblings

I think it's safe to say that everyone loves Autumn... It's become one of my most favourite times of the year, obviously not as much as I love December of course, but a very close second!
I have been spending my weekends skipping through orangey fallen leaves, wrapped up in large scarves, hands in pockets, little boots & socks lace my ankles and Sebastian and I head to the town to pick up our groceries for the week.
Usually we stop off for a coffee shop moment to energise our Autumnal spirits. Sometimes we sip hazelnut hot chocolates, sometimes we (Sebastian) drink pumpkin spiced lattes and sometimes we take our usuals- caramel lattes with a dash of cream. And sometimes we order a little extra something to nibble on to have alongside our hot chocolates.
My most favourite thing about Autumn, apart from my new giant scarf and wearing thick socks indoors is that it's porridge season! PORRIDGE season people! I had my first bowl a few weeks ago, but this weekend, Sebastian made me a malty, nutella and banana bowl of deliciousness.
I have asked him to teach me just how to make porridge to his perfection as I'm going to need the fuel to keep me going over these next few weeks! How can it be EIGHT weeks before miniTTDER is here?! So very exciting.

  1. Is it weird to say that I love Autumn even though we don't have Autumn here (which sucks) but I have to say that when it's cold here or if we go overseas and it's that season, I just can't help but not want to leave. I just love the cozy and crisp feeling that this season have.
P.S. the porridge looks amazing, I wanna drool.

  7. Ahh i love autumn, but as soon as it starts snowing and getting all slushy.. noooo!!
I have just invested in a massive lovely mustard knitted scarf, now to find some matching gloves and a bobble hat :D It's such a good excuse to layer up and be comfy too. I love walking to uni every day through a path in a woods and hearing the birds tweet, squirrels running around everywhere and trees turning lovely auburn shades and mustardy. Its such a lovely season, with even more of an excuse to drink lots of tea/coffee and fatten up on cake/muffins. Heaven! I am so excited for your little family!!! <3

  9. It took me a while to decide on a favorite season... I was back and forth between Summer and Fall. The a few years back it hit me! Fall is absolutely the best. The big scarves and hot beverages. It's pure delight. Hope you're doing well!
