Last year my bestest and I had noticed that we were visiting a tearoom on a farm almost every year around the time of my birthday. We decided then that we should do it every year as a tradition. Last year's visit was when I told Suz that I was pregnant and so it seems almost perfect that we visit today with that tiny human.
Badgers Hill Farm is so sweet. The friendly staff serve cake, scones and array of savoury foods. They also have chickens and cockerels roaming around outside including a giant one that greeted us today! We took Olive to see the Alpacas, geese and Rhea's... though it appeared she was more interested in looking at the fence and the other children running around. Perhaps next time she will be a little more interested?
We enjoyed a latte each whilst nibbling on elevensies... I had a scone smothered in clotted cream and sweet jam. It was far too good.
We do love a good ol play at home but it is so nice to venture out sometimes, even just for a coffee, a stare at the muddy pigs and goofy alpacas and a slice of delicious cake in the sunshine. I cannot wait for Summer. Picnics in the park with the sunhats and paddling pools in gardens and a certain small lady's face covered in ice cream! Such good things to come.
Have you had a lovely day? Did you manage to get out in the sunshine?
