A little Birthday outing

My birthday was a little different this year (I wasn't feeling nauseous this time for starters! I was pregnant this time last year!). It is official. I am an adult!
It appears to be true what they say about no longer being fussed about your own birthday!!
Anyway, a couple of weeks ago, on Thursday morning (14th) felt like a weekend day. Sebastian had taken the day off work to spend it with me. He kindly made breakfast of bacon and double egg sandwiches and tea.
Upon the table were a pile of presents wrapped in floral and toile pattern wrapping paper and a stack of shiny and pastel coloured envelopes. I received some beautiful gifts including a 'Selfish Mother' sweatshirt from Olive and some pastel nail polish, money, edible treats of sweets, violet chocolates and macarons from loved ones. I was also lucky enough to receive a very special gift from my favourite people- Sebastian and both sets of parents. I feel so lucky to have such a wonderful family.
Feeling spoilt but very loved, we three got ready and wandered into town for lunch and a walk.
We sipped Rose hot chocolate (me) and a cold brew coffee (Sebastian) whilst nibbling on Raspberry & Coconut cake (me) and a Peanut butter chocolate slice (Sebastian) whilst dear little Olive snoozed beside us.
My phone filled up with notifications of lovely birthday messages across all social media and I felt pretty loved, happy and grateful of such wonderful people in my life- friends, family and internet followers friends. So thank you every single one of you!
I decided to bake white chocolate brownies in the afternoon (weren't quite 'perfect' so will be attempting these again soon and I will pop a little recipe up on here.) and then we had a house full in the evening. lots of visitors, cake, catch ups and flowers. It was so so lovely, however Sebastian and I didn't get to eat our dinner until quarter to eleven. Oops.
Nevertheless I had a wonderful day and feel like my life is pretty darn wonderful at the moment. 29 is pretty awesome.
