A spoonful of sugar is all it takes

Lately I feel like I have finally passed the Motherhood test. I managed to bake inbetween naps.
Next thing on the list is to have dinner in the oven before MrTTDER gets home from work!! Watch this space.
Anyway... so last week I made cupcakes for my sister's baby shower. Pale blue buttercream frosting with milk bottle sweets and edible iridescent glitter in gold cases. They were a hit!
Earlier this week I made delicious banana loaf which has nearly completely gone- I guess MrTTDER likes it! This is the second time I have made it and I still haven't managed the timings. With both attempts the top has been a little overcooked because I wasn't sure if the middle had finished cooking. This is definitely a work in progress. I think I want to try blueberry loaf and a tea loaf using a Lady Grey or 'English Rose' tea!
This banana loaf recipe I use is so so easy to follow and perfect for those times I forget to eat the last two bananas! Oops.
Yesterday Olive and I spent the day at my sister's with a friend. We all helped make a few batches of cupcakes, along with my nephews, whilst eating on the way (I say we, but basically Olive and I watched and helped taste the buttercreams and sweets!). They were so good. I didn't manage to take a snap of the other cupcakes but they were topped with fancy chocolate buttercream and decorated by the boys- basically the entire contents of the sprinkle pot!!

Next week is my birthday so I really want to make blondies (blonde brownies!). But with sprinkles- Funfetti Blondies. If they turn out pretty (& delicious) I might even pop the recipe up on here.
