The Wedding :: part ii

I simply cannot choose a little amount of photographs for our special day so just please expect VERY photo heavy posts split into about 20... jokes, I was trying for three but it may even be more! I know I know, but you try selecting a handful from 700 plus!

Anyway... the afternoon... you can read about the morning here.
Our beautiful wedding was held at the gorgeous House Meadow in a little village in Biddenden in Kent. It was THE most perfect venue for us because it meant we had alot of opportunity for those 'crazy' ideas we had which most venues have restrictions on. Also, a tree swing, an aisle of dreams made up of a miniature wildflower meadow, saying our vows on a lake as well as sipping tea in a stunning barn. Ticks all my boxes.
After grinning for a few nervous snaps under the arch at the top of the aisle, my bridesmaids made me giggle with their threats of jazz hands down the aisle. Corinne Bailey Rae's 'Like a Star' began and it was time for my beautiful sisters and two best friends to walk ahead of me and lead me to my groom.
They walked in twos sprinkling pastel dried petals down the wildflower aisle and the moment I stepped under the floral embellished archway with my father, I caught a glance of Sebastian and my jelly legs and nerves disappeared. That walk was kind of a blur, I don't really remember Corinne softly singing us along the meadow down past the hay bales with all those smiling faces looking at me.
But that magical moment after my Papa and I crossed over the bridge to the wooden gazebo on the lake, and I met my man, my fiance for the last time, was just beyond a dream.
^^^ cute face after a sneaky peek of his bride (all the heart eyes for this man!)
^^^ look at that tiny Olive bump!!! Swoon
We held hands, said our vows, exchanged rings, we kissed, we signed the register. It was very romantic. Genuinely so very romantic. Our loved ones shared the moment with us from their point of view and I remember my Nanny telling me that Sebastian looked "like the cat that got the cream" as well as others saying how we looked so happy and in love standing up there together hand in hand. Like I said ROMANTIC. Le dreamy sigh.
After our "I Do's" and a skip back up the aisle to Hall & Oates "You Make my Dreams Come True" whilst being sprinkled with confetti my new husband and I walked towards the big oak tree for pimms in cans with floral straws (lemonade for this mama-to-be), popcorn and ice cream. We enjoyed a few quiet moments together explaining our mornings/why I was so darn late (oops) before our loved ones joined us for treats.
It was so warm I remember slowly getting burnt whilst standing for pictures, I also remember my heels sinking in the grass after I had been there for a certain amount of time haha. The little things.
Surrounded by loved ones and wild flowers, it was the dreamiest day of my life. nibbling on lavender ice creams and exchanging hugs and posed smiles as well as high fives from the littles. The children clambering over each other to get a turn on the huge tree swing, with popcorn stuck to the chins. Whilst the adults sipped overflowing bubbles from their cans and caught up with one another, posed for snaps and enjoyed ever so slightly melted ice creams.

After smiling for many photographs, a slather of sun cream across my already slightly pink back, and the last of the ice cream, we all gathered toward the Horseshoe Barn for a picnic lunch and some fizz. I can only imagine that the guests were slowly melting and beyond grateful at how cool it was in that glorious barn. Poor things were waiting for far too long for the bride et al. Oops.
