I have always liked Wednesdays. Middle of the week, that much closer to the weekend and well, it begins with a W ... just like the word Wonderful!
Today was just that - Wonderful.
Olive and I played and read stories, we ate toast together and sipped water (& tea - me!). We listened to Disney songs and danced around the living room. Whilst little lady napped, I managed to complete some housework and put some of Olive's things away (things she has outgrown *teary eye emoji*!).
I also managed to grab some time to myself during a nap time and sip a hot tea and write up some very important ideas and to work on my future. The future for our family. After a really good conversation with dear Sebastian last night about everything that has been getting me down, I feel so much better about things. Today, after a very long time, I felt motivated, inspired and excited. I am also very lucky to have such a wonderful and supportive husband, I really am.
After more toast smothered in almond butter, and a handful of carrot and cucumber, Olive and I played on the playmat stacking cups and knocking them straight over. More Disney songs and some wonderful snuggles. My friends Gerry & Zoe came over and we sipped tea, chatted and played cups with Lady O whilst sat cross legged on the floor.
After a quiet, slow day it was so lovely to finish the day with a visit from friends.
It was bathtime and bed for little lady after Sebastian and I had dinner together. Even though Olive is so tired and somewhat grizzly at this point, she does love her baths. Splashing and kicking and giggling when I blow the bath bubbles on her tummy. A soothing lavender bath sets the tone for winding down.
Sebastian has gone out for the evening and I am here on the sofa, watching rubbish television, eating the rest of the custard creams whilst I reflect on such a Wonderful Wednesday.
Feeling grateful.

Have you had a lovely day? What Wonderful thing/s happened in your day?

  1. I start a new job tomorrow (Thursday), so I have been getting lots of things done today to prepare for tomorrow. I'm winding down with a cup of tea, black cherry Greek yoghurt and nibbles of dark chocolate. I'm excited and nervous, as I'll be working as a cashier in a home improvement store, a topic which I know very little about.

I've also been trying to figure out who I am and figure out what I want this year, it seems to be a theme for a lot of people this year. I'm hoping I'll have some clue by year's end!

Lots of love from across the pond (Canada). xoxo

  6. Olive is just good enough to eat - she's getting cuter and cuter by the day!
There's nothing like a bit of rubbish TV to wind down at the end of the day. My guilt pleasure is 'Dance Moms' - what a treat!

  7. Looks like such a lovely day - I love her dress too.
